The Cold Steel Hold Out III knife is a descendent of the Black Knife or Skean Dhu (Gaelic) knives of the ancient Scottish warriors. These knives were used as utility or back up knives and were worn under the sleve or tucked in a sock or jacket. This thin, flat and "pointy" knife was light as a feather. The Tactical folder by Cold Steel is just that--a perfect little folder knife that features a thin, pointed tip that is amazingly resistant to breaking. Making the blade even better is the precise and beautiful hollow grind and the razor sharp edge. For discreet carry and immediate access, the Hold Outs are supplied with polished stainless steel pocket clips and thumb studs on the blade. This arrangement allows a wide variety of carry options as well as lightning quick, one-handed deployment. The Cold Steel Hold Out III, model 11HM, features a plain edge blade. The Hold Out III is a mid sized folder knife--a bit smaller than the Hold Out II.
