Aimed at users who want a premium flashlight with excellent build, and offering a longer range than a typical EDC model, the C5 V2.0 is powerful and simple to operate.
A wide range of power levels are present 5 in total and 2 strobe modes too (normal strobe and SOS).
Using an 18650 battery the supplied one offers 2600mAh in capacity, with a run time up to over 117 hours in the lowest Eco mode (10 lumens). A built in USB-C port with dust cover is on the flashlight, with fast charging it takes only around 2 hours from flat to full. It’s also compatible with 2 x CR123A/16340 cells.
Body is made from thicker high strength 6061 Aluminum alloy with HAIII anodising for rugged durability and damage protection. Front glass is coated to increase light transmission and hardened too.
Extra fine knurling on the body help comfort and grip anti roll and anti slip, and it’s been fully tested to 1 metre drop distance, and the demanding IP68 water and dust protection.
The Fenix remains pocket friendly with a size of 135mm x 34mm x 25.5mm, and a weight of 179.6g.
Longer range 327 metre beam, simple operation
The flashlight features an excellent beam profile with a combination of power and range (candela 26797cd). At the top level of 1800 lumens, it can reach 327m into the darkness.
Lower levels include 800, 350, 100, and 10 lumens in the Eco mode, with dual strobe outputs, a normal flashing strobe, and SOS for emergency use.
Fenix have opted for a single larger side switch, to ensure operation is trouble free and intuitive. With a press/hold for On/Off, and single presses to cycle the power modes, a long press when on cycles the strobe outputs. As expected a lock-out is also included in the UI.
