We're already familiar with the frame with the holes, also known as a skeletonised frame. The Skeletool CX boasts an upgrade in terms of steel type: 154CM instead of 420HC. This is a stainless steel type that was originally designed for use in jet engines. Many people will also appreciate that this Skeletool CX features a blade with no serrations. After all, you don't need the serrations to peel an apple or for most everyday cutting tasks.

It was originally designed for use in jet engines. It was knife maker Bob Loveless who made 154CM popular for use as a knife steel in the 1970s.
