The Gerber Gator Machete Jr. is the baby brother of the Gator Machete. A little lighter and more compact, but with the same versatile blade. On the one hand the smooth side to chop your way through anything, on the other serrations to saw your way through thicker branches. Its compact size makes the Machete Jr. the perfect travel companion.

The 25 cm long blade on the Gerber Gator Machete Jr. is made from high carbon steel. Not completely razor-sharp, which is also not necessary for a machete. However, if you want to you could also easily sharpen this type of steel. The blade has been attached in between the handle with two Allen bolts. If you notice any leeway in between the blade and the handle simply tighten the bolts.

Gerber Gator Grip

A good grip is indispensable when it comes to a machete. For this reason the Gerber Gator Machete Jr. has been enhanced with a handle with the patented Gator Grip. Made from glass reinforced nylon with a soft, rubber surface and the look and feel of an alligator skin to ensure a firm grip with optimal control regardless of the weather: this machete will never slip from your hands. Still a bit hesitant? You could also use the nylon lanyard attached to the handle if you are looking for additional security.

The Gator Machete Jr. comes with a military grade nylon sheath you can use to store your machete when you are done using it.
